One-on-One Coaching

As your life coach I will become your cooperative partner in your growth and personal development during or after your experience with a major health crisis. I will help you see your sickness as strength – and your challenges as assets. I’ll use personal resources, inquiry, powerful questions and self-discovery to enable your transformation both personally and professionally.

I will provide you with the structure, support and feedback you need to move forward in your physical and mental health recovery. I’ll be helping you live the life you desire and deserve during or after your experience with cancer, chronic illness, or serious injury.

I know you are capable of overcoming any of the obstacles you’re facing, such as fear, doubt and limiting beliefs that can keep you stuck in a state of mind that isn’t serving you. I will help you see a clear vision for the life you want, and I’ll help you put your physical and mental health first. You ARE resilient, you’ve already proven that with everything you’ve had to overcome and learn to live with – I will help you find your personal power to change your life.

Group Coaching Program

In my small group intensive program you’ll experience the effectiveness and benefits you’d receive from individual coaching, with the added bonus of meeting new people and sharing your stories and experiences with each other. In a group setting, you’ll feel a sense of community like no other, because no one understands what you’re dealing with more than the people who are experiencing similar things.

Groups are always kept under 10 people to make sure everyone receives the support and attention they need, allowing for maximum integration and transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you certified?

Yes. I am certified as a Master Life Coach Practitioner through the Certified Life Coach Institute, with over 64 hours in training. In addition I have an impressive collection of fitness professional certifications collected over the past 15 years.

Are you credentialed? Is Life Coaching regulated?

I am currently working towards collecting 110+ hours for my ICF credentials (International Coaching Federation). The ICF was created in an effort to standardize coaching due to the fact that it is not currently regulated. Anyone can call themselves a life coach, but you can consider an ICF certified life coach as the gold standard in coaching. When it becomes regulated – and it’s coming due to the extreme popularity and success in the industry – ICF coaches will be included in that.

What should I look for in a life coach?

Make sure you properly look into any life coach you are considering working with. Check out their experience, what kind of coaching they do, and what their certifications and qualifications are. Make sure you get a chance to communicate with them before signing up long term to make sure it feels like a good match for you.

I don’t have cancer? Is this a good coaching program for me?

Of course. Cancer, no cancer. We all have these same thoughts and feelings. Let’s chat and see where you’re at!

I’m still in active treatment, does that matter?

Not at all. The earlier you get some guidance on how to navigate this thing called life, the better. I wish I had support during my treatment. And I wish I had support during all of my flare ups with Ulcerative Colitis. I know it would have been a game changer for me, it would have saved me a ton of time and energy!

I am (insert number of years here) out of treatment, is this still right for me?

Oh ya. 1 year, 10 years, 30 years… we all still think about what we’ve been through, and it’s all made us who we are. No matter how old we are or where we are in life. Let’s talk.

What happens if this program doesn’t seem like a good fit after I get started?

If you decide at any time that coaching isn’t what you expected, or you’re not comfortable, or you don’t think it’s right for you – we can simply part ways and I’ll refer you out to what you might be looking for.

Can we work together if I’m a private person and don’t want to share too many personal details?

You can share as little or as much about you and your life as you like. I don’t need to know all the nitty gritty details of every little part of your story. This is your recovery, your path, your goals… I can help you get there with as much of what you’d like to share and that’s it. You’ll see how amazing the transformation will be when it comes from within, I simply help guide you there.

Is this the same as therapy?

No. Therapy is a regulated profession that focuses on mental health difficulties and provides diagnosis and assessment. They’re bound by ethics and laws to maintain your privacy and confidentiality and are well versed with working with doctors when necessary.

Is life coaching a regulated profession?

Life coaching is an unregulated profession, however regulation is coming. It is important to properly vet your life coach to make sure they obtain the strictest quality of care and will uphold privacy and confidentiality standards.

Can you give me nutrition and exercise tips too?

I’ve been a fitness professional for over 15 years, giving exercise and nutrition tips is something I’m extremely experienced in and I love doing it. If you’re looking for this kind of coaching then we can definitely do that! But it’s a different service, and it’s done in a different way. Hop over to my fitness services page to check out more information! We can talk about adding it to your coaching separately, or combine it for an ultimate transformation.
